SpringVerify now uses AI to automatically grade Regional Partner Verification (RPV) education checks once the verification partner confirms the result. This speeds up education check completion without any change to what you submit.

How it works (behind the scenes)

When your candidate's education check is assigned to a regional verification partner and the partner confirms it as "Verified":

1. The system validates that the verification document has a visible institutional stamp or seal (required for auto-grading).
2. AI extracts 10 fields from the source document using OCR: name, degree, university/institution, specialisation, registration number, passing year, course type, start year, final result, and affiliation.
3. Extracted data is compared against what your candidate declared on the BGV form.
4. Fields with minor variations (abbreviations, university name changes, grade formats) get an AI second-pass for fair assessment.
5. The check is either auto-verified or sent for human review, depending on results.

When does the check auto-verify?

• All 6 mandatory fields are confirmed: name, authority, passing year, registration number, final result, and degree.
• No discrepancy on non-mandatory fields (institute, specialisation, course type, start year).

When does the check go to human review?

• Any field shows a discrepancy (even after AI second-pass).
• A mandatory field is missing.
• The document doesn't have a visible stamp or seal.
• There's a "currently studying" conflict with a past passing year.

What to expect

• Education checks complete faster — ~57% are now auto-verified without manual grading.
• Checks that require human judgment are still reviewed by our team as usual.
• No change to your package configuration or how candidates submit documents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does this apply to all education checks?
Currently, this applies to Regional Partner Verification (RPV) education checks only. Official, Postal, and Electronic verification modes are not affected.

Q: What if there's a minor spelling variation in the university name?
The AI accounts for common variations, abbreviations, and historical university name changes (e.g., a university that was renamed). These are treated as matches.

Q: Can registration number mismatches be auto-resolved?
No. Registration number matching is exact-only and is never sent to AI for interpretation — this ensures accuracy on the most critical field.
