A step-by-step guide for new employers (verifiers) on how to sign up, log in, search for
candidate records, complete a verification, and download reports from the SpringVerify
Alumni Portal.
1. What Is the Alumni Verification Portal?
The SpringVerify Alumni Verification Portal is a secure, web-based platform that allows
organizations to verify the employment history of ex-employees (alumni). When a new employer
initiates a background verification (BGV) for a candidate, they use this portal to retrieve
and confirm the candidate's records from their previous employer.
The portal is accessed via a URL provided by your HR team. It is separate from the main
SpringVerify client dashboard and is specifically designed for verifiers performing
alumni employment checks.
Who is this for?
This guide is for new employers (verifiers) — companies that are hiring a candidate
and need to confirm their previous employment by accessing the previous employer's
alumni records through the portal.

4. Searching for a Candidate Record
To verify a candidate, click Verify Now or select the relevant
company card on the dashboard. You will then be prompted to enter the candidate's details.
There are two search paths depending on whether you have the candidate's Staff ID.

Path A — With Staff ID
- Enter the candidate's Staff ID
- Enter the Employee Name
- Enter the New Employer Name (your company)
- Proceed to upload consent and make payment
Path B — Without Staff ID
- Select the no Staff ID radio button on the form
- The SpringVerify team will be notified
- You will receive a response via email
New Employer Name is required. This field captures your company name (the company requesting the verification) and
is visible to the previous employer as part of the verification request.
5. Uploading a Consent Letter
A valid consent letter from the candidate is required before you can access their alumni
records. You will be prompted to upload this document as part of the verification flow.
1. Upload the consent letter. Click the upload button and attach the candidate's signed consent document (PDF, JPG, or PNG).
2. If the consent letter is flagged as invalid. The system will notify you if the uploaded consent is not appropriate. You have two options:
Option 1 — Re-upload: Replace the document with a valid consent letter and resubmit.
Option 2 — Ignore and proceed: Continue without re-uploading. The SpringVerify team will review and contact you with next steps.
3. Check the acknowledgement checkbox
Before proceeding to payment, check the required acknowledgement checkbox confirming
the details provided are accurate.
Consent is mandatory Accessing a candidate's alumni records without proper consent is not permitted.
Ensure you have a signed consent document from the candidate before initiating verification.6. Making a Payment
Each alumni verification requires a payment. After uploading the consent letter and checking
the acknowledgement box, you will be directed to the payment step.
