How SpringVerify AI Automatically Processes Address Checks
Overview
When a candidate submits their BGV form with address documents, SpringVerify's AI now reads, validates, and processes the check automatically — no manual action needed from your team or ours.
Who is this for?
Company Admins and HR teams who initiate background verifications and want to understand how address checks are processed.
How it works
Once your candidate submits the BGV form with their address document (Aadhaar, Voter ID, utility bill, rental agreement, etc.), here's what happens automatically:
AI reads the document — The system extracts address details (address lines, city, state, pincode) directly from the uploaded document and updates the candidate's record.
Document type is validated — If a candidate accidentally selects the wrong document type (e.g., uploads an Aadhaar but tags it as "Other"), the AI detects and corrects the tag automatically.
Smart checks are run — The AI flags issues like blurry or unreadable uploads, expired utility bills (older than 3 months), expired passports or driving licences, or a name on the document that doesn't match the candidate's name.
DAV (Digital Address Verification) is auto-triggered — Once the document passes validation, the candidate's Digital Address Verification link is sent automatically — no waiting for manual initiation.
If validation fails — The check stays in review and our operations team handles it manually. You'll see the check status reflect this.
What to expect
- Address checks now move from "Form Submitted" to "In Progress" within minutes of BGV submission.
- You don't need to follow up or raise a request to initiate DAV — it happens automatically.
- If a document fails validation, the check will appear in a review state. Our team will handle it and keep the status updated.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does this change how candidates fill the BGV form?
No. The candidate experience is exactly the same. Changes happen on the backend after submission.
Q: What if the candidate uploads an incorrect document?
If the AI can identify the correct document type, it auto-corrects it. If the document is unreadable or invalid, the check is flagged for manual review.
Q: How quickly will the DAV link be sent after BGV submission?
Typically within minutes of form submission, as long as the document passes validation.
Q: What documents are accepted for address verification?
Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Utility Bills (not older than 3 months), Rental Agreement, Passport and other standard address proof documents.
