How to Create and Launch a Pulse Survey?

Here are the steps to Create and Launch a Pulse Survey: 
  1. Navigate to EngageWith Dashboard.
  2. Here, you will get to see all the ongoing and completed Pulse surveys.
  3. Click on the Pulse surveys on the left side panel.
  4. Now, You have Two ways to create and launch a Pulse: 
    1. Create From Scratch
    2. Select from the Templates

Create from Scratch



You can now do the following: 
  • Enter your Pulse Title.
  • Enter your question and answers.
  • Choose the type of answer you require by clicking on the dropdown side to the question.
  • Choose the preferences for the question from the bottom.
  • Add or Delete the questions.
  • You can always choose the template questions from the Library (right side).
  • Click on Next.



  1. Here, Select the preferences like frequency, date, and time according to your requirement.
  2. And schedule Reminders.
  3. You can also disable the reminder for rolling Pulse by clicking on the toggle mentioned below.
  4. When you choose to disable reminders.
    1. Note: Rolling Pulse is sent as a one-time pulse. Their frequency cannot be altered.
  5. Click on Next.


  1. Here, you can choose your desired audience (Channel or Username).
  2. Configure Anonymity.
  3. Check all your preferences before you launch.
  4. Click on Launch.



  • Your folks in your workspace will get the below message from EngageWith to respond to the pulse: 


You are all set 🎉
You have successfully created a Pulse from Scratch and Launched it as per your preferred time.

Create from a Template
  • Click on the Pulse under Engagement.
  • You get to see all the Templates on the top in the cards. Click on View all.


  1. Now you can use the templates.
  2. You can click on Quick Create to directly Launch the Pulse.
    1. Note: Click on Quick Create only after verifying the questions and answers from the template.
  3. You can click on Use template to edit/change the questions.


  1. Please ensure to check on all the questions and options from the template.
  2. Click on Next.


  1. Here, Select the preferences like frequency, date, and time according to your requirement.
  2. And schedule Reminders.

Improvements are as follows: 
  1. Instant Pulse/eNPS sending: In addition to scheduling, you can now send Pulse/eNPS surveys instantly.
  2. Stop Pulse/eNPS: Gain more control by stopping current or scheduled Pulse/eNPS surveys as needed.
  3. Extend deadline: Provide additional time for responses if needed.
  4. Add new users: Easily add employees to ongoing pulses if they were initially missed.
  5. Save drafts: Save eNPS drafts, just like Pulse surveys, for finalization later.
  6. Enhanced UI: Detailed views for recurring pulses show instance numbers and summary views
