What is a Digital PCC?
A digital PCC is an electronic version of a traditional PCC issued by the police. It verifies your criminal history for a specific period.
Key Considerations for a Digital PCC:
1. Barcode/Application Number: This unique identifier helps track your application and verify the authenticity of the certificate. Either one of the following should be present in the certificate.
2. Date of Issue: The PCC will have a valid date for a specific period (typically 6 months or 1 year). Make sure the validity period covers your needs.
3. Address: The address on the PCC should exactly match the address you provided on your Background Verification (BGV) form.
In the case of court checks with discrepancies or those graded as Unable to Verify, validation can only be performed for digitally issued Police Clearance Certificates (PCCs).
