What is a Water Cooler? How do I start it?

“Water cooler ” refers to casual conversations between co-workers about non-work topics. These conversations can improve relations, boost employee morale, & more importantly, help employees return to work relaxed and motivated. 

  1. Who has access to set up a Water Cooler? 
    1. By default, anyone can set up a Water Cooler schedule. Trivia admins have the option to limit this access. 
  2. Who can participate in Water Cooler conversations? 
    1. Anyone who is part of the channel where the Water Cooler question gets posted can initiate and participate in conversations. 
  3. How many people can participate in the Water Cooler? 
    1. There is no limit! Your entire team can participate in a Water Cooler.

Here are the steps to start the Water Cooler:
  1. Click on Trivia from the Apps
  2. Click on Games from Trivia's Home tab
  3. Then click on Water Cooler 
  4. The default game format would be Water Cooler, click on Continue
  5. If you prefer to change the Water Cooler prompt you can click on Change Prompt
  6. You can select the Channel from the drop-down where you wanted the Water Cooler conversation to get started.
  7. Click on Start Conversation.
  8. You are all Set!
  1. Here's another way to start the Water Cooler with the Slack Command
  2. Navigate to the Channel where you wanted the Water Cooler conversation to get started.
  3. Type in the below Slack command
  4. /trivia water cooler
  5. Click on Continue and get started with Water Cooler Conversation
  6. You are all Set!
