How to setup a channel for recognition posts in MS Teams?

Make sure your team’s recognition posts land in the right place—whether by department or across your entire organization.

1. Log in to your EngageWith account
2. Navigate to the Recognition tab
3. Click Workspace

Here, you can set up department-wise recognition or org-wide recognition.
A. Department-wise Recognition channels -

Map specific Teams channels to each department.

  • Example: Set the Marketing team’s recognition to go into the #marketing channel.

  • Any time someone from that department is recognized, it will post directly in that team’s space—ensuring visibility where it matters most.

Note - Ensure that all your employees are mapped to their respective department and manager. You can do this from the Organization tab.

B. Organisation-wide default recognition channel
Set a public channel (like #general or #all-hands) as the default for all recognition posts across teams.

Note -
Channels must be public and integrated with EngageWith to appear in the dropdown list.
Private channels will not be supported for this feature.
