How to Hold, Pause, or Close a Verification / Check from the Portal

You can easily put a verification on hold, pause a background check, or close a case directly from the SpringVerify dashboard.
This article explains how to temporarily stop the verification process when the candidate is currently employed, unavailable, or when the client requests a hold.

Follow the steps below to manage employment, address, education, or any other verification check from your portal.


✅ Steps to Hold or Close a Check / Case
  1. Log into the SpringVerify portal

  2. Navigate to the Candidates tab and click on the relevant candidate’s name to open their profile.

  3. In the candidate's detail view, select the specific check you want to act on from the left-hand menu (e.g., Identity, Employment, Address, etc.).

  4. Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) on the top-right of the selected check’s section.

  5. Choose either:

    • Hold Check / Case

    • Close Check / Case


⏸️ Hold a Check

  • Click Hold Check / case / verification

  • Select the hold duration

  • Choose a reason from the dropdown

  • Click Confirm

This will pause the check for the selected time.

Close a Check

  • Click Close Check

  • Choose the reason for closure

  • Click Confirm

The check will be marked as closed and will not resume unless reopened manually by our support team.
