Turnaround Time for Checks ( TAT )

Turnaround Time for Checks ( TAT )

Turnaround Time and How it is calculated

Turnaround Time ( TAT )Turnaround Time refers to the total time required to complete a particular check, typically measured from the moment the process begins until it is successfully finished or resolved. In the context of background checks, turnaround time represents the duration it takes to complete the verification process for a candidate. Additionally, if the check is deemed insufficient or if the overall status of the candidate is "Awaiting Input," the turnaround time is also considered as "Null" or "0" because these statuses indicate that the verification process has not yet been finalized, and thus, no meaningful turnaround time can be determined until further information or actions are taken.

How it is calculated - It is calculated for the period when a check is in progress.

*Note - These calculation may vary according to the situation of the checks, mostly the checks are graded before the above given TAT. Nevertheless, certain situations may warrant longer durations, surpassing the usual TAT. For instance, international checks often demand extended periods compared to domestic ones due to the complexity and additional steps involved.
